Biographical Information[edit]
Honeudis Pereyra pitched three seasons in the minors. In 2001, he was in the Dominican Summer League. He split 2002 between the Burlington Indians (4-2, Sv, 2.73, 22 BB, 9 H, 46 K in 26 1/3 IP) and the Columbus RedStixx (1-2, 9.00, 10 BB in 11 IP), showing a superb strikeout and hit rate but a poor walk rate. In 2003, he went 1-1 with a save and a 2.59 ERA for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, striking out 51 and walking 27 in 41 2/3 IP. The Kansas City Royals took him in the AAA phase of the 2003 Rule V Draft but he never played again in the pro ranks.
