Biographical Information

Hiroshi Katayama was a first-round pick of the Rakuten Golden Eagles in the 2005 NPB draft. He debuted in Nippon Pro Baseball in 2008, going 2-7 with a 3.65 ERA. He was injured for 2009 but was assigned to winter ball in the Arizona Fall League, going 0-1 with a 7.71 ERA in 12 outings for the Phoenix Desert Dogs.
