Hirohisa Takada pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball and for the Japanese national team.
Takada represented Japan in the 1985 Asian Championship. The Nippon Ham Fighters signed him in 1985.[1] Takada allowed 24 runs in 21 2/3 innings in his rookie year, and only recorded 14 appearances combined in the next four seasons with the big club. The Fighters released him after the 1990 season, and the Taiyo Whales picked him up. Takada allowed 6 runs in 5 innings in the first year with the Whales. In 1991, he dominated the ni-gun, leading the league in wins, ERA, saves and winning percentage. His ERA was 3.24 in 25 innings with the big club, and he finally collected his first win in NPB on July 5. Takada announced his retirement after the 1993 season.[2]
Overall, Takada was 1-7 with a 5.93 ERA and pitched 74 1/3 innings in 6 seasons in NPB.
