Biographical Information[edit]
Hideo Furuya was an pitcher who represented Japan in the 1972 Amateur World Series, 1973 Intercontinental Cup and 1975 Intercontinental Cup. He played for JFE Japan in the Industrial League after college. The Chiba Lotte Marines drafted him in the fifth round of the 1972 NPB draft, but he refused to sign.
