Hernán Guzmán was a two-way player for the Colombian national team in the 2008 Americas Baseball Cup, going 0 for 3 with an error in one start at shortstop. The starting pitcher against the Netherlands Antilles, he fanned 5 and allowed only one run in 4 2/3 IP but lost to a hurler over twice his age, Didi Gregorius. He helped Colombia take Silver at the 2010 South American Games.
