Biographical Information[edit]

First baseman Herb Anderson played seven seasons in the minor leagues, from 1955 to 1961, including parts of three seasons (1955-1957) in the Open Pacific Coast League. Perhaps his best season was 1957, when he hit .317 with 15 home runs and 159 hits in 141 games split between the Seattle Rainiers, Yakima Bears and Wenatchee Chiefs.

He spent time in the Cincinnati Reds (1956-1958, 1960), Milwaukee Braves (1958), Los Angeles Dodgers (1960) and Chicago Cubs (1961) systems.

He later scouted for the Dodgers, Kansas City Royals, Philadelphia Phillies and Seattle Mariners.
