Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Henry Zajac played several years in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. He was 5-11 with a 4.14 ERA for the 1935 Greensburg Red Wings as a rookie. In 1936, he had a 4-3, 3.10 record with the Albany Travelers. With the Pine Bluff Judges in 1937, he went 24-6 with a 2.59 ERA to lead the Cotton States League in wins and earned run average. He fell to 4-5, 2.96 in a repeat engagement with Pine Bluff in '38. He went 16-12 for the 1939 Springfield Cardinals to end his pitching career at 53-37. He tried his hand at the outfield in 1945, going 11 for 43 with four doubles for the Hornell Maples.
