Biographical Information[edit]
Heng-Yu Ho played in the CPBL and for the Chinese Taipei national baseball team.
Ho represented Taiwan in the 2019 U-18 Baseball World Cup, hitting .250/.308/.306 with 7 runs in 9 games, handling 60 chances error-free (mostly at 1B; one game at 2B) for the champs. [1] The Uni-President Lions drafted him in the second round of the 2020 CPBL Draft; he received a 4.4 million NT dollars signing bonus.[2] He spent his first two seasons mainly in the minor league, only playing 10 games combined with the big club. He led the minor league with 67 hits and 35 runs scored in 2022. Ho got more chances in 2023, and he hit .178/.196/.222 in 22 games as a backup infielder.[3] He then represented Taiwan in the 2023 Asia Professional Baseball Championship after the season. Ho debuted against Japan, and he was 1-for-2, with a single against Yuji Akahoshi. However, he was 0-for-8 in the next three games, and he drove in a run with a grounder in the Bronze Medal game to help Taiwan beat Australia and win Bronze.[4]
