Biographical Information[edit]
Heinie Berger pitched four years for the Cleveland Naps, with his best year in 1908 when he was 13-8. Baseballlibrary.com states he was a spitballer who twice won 20 games in the minors before coming to the bigs. One of those seasons was with the 1905 Columbus Senators, who won 100 games, where Berger was 25-14 and led the league with 200 strikeouts.
