Biographical Information[edit]
Hayato Tsunehiro has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Tsunehiro shut out the Meiji University in the 2023 All-Japan University Baseball Championship Series, and he was named the MVP of the tournament. The Hiroshima Carp and Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles selected him in the first round of the 2023 NPB draft, and the Carp won the lottery for the right to him.[1] However, Tsunehiro was unable to graduate from the college, so he didn't make his debut until September 15, 2024.[2] He pitched 5 innings with a run allowed against the Yokohama BayStars to get his first career win, and he also collected his first strikeout against Koki Kajiwara.
Tsunehiro's repertoire included a fastball (peak 96.3 mph), and forkball.
