Biographical Information[edit]

Harvey Shank pitched for four years in the California Angels organization, and then for 30+ years has been an executive with the Phoenix Suns. A photographer, his work was featured on the cover of "Nature Photographer" magazine. His son Jon also played for Stanford University, Shank's alma mater.

Shank was 7-3 as a reliever and occasional starter for the 1970 Hawaii Islanders, who went 98-48.

Shank's major league career was only one game, but in that game he pitched three innings and gave up no runs.

While he was born in Canada, his family moved to Woodside, CA when he was three years old, and that's where he grew up.
