Harry S. Truman

"May the sun never set on American baseball." - Harry Truman

Harry S. Truman was the 33rd President of the United States, succeeding Franklin D. Roosevelt upon his death. He holds the presidential record for attending games while in office with sixteen appearances. He created the Presidential Medal of Freedom and was the first to bestow it on a former baseball player, Moe Berg.

Truman apparently didn't play much baseball as a youth because he felt his glasses to be incompatible with sports that involved balls.
