The father of Harry Spilman and uncle of Greg Walker, Harry Spilman Sr. caught one year for the Eastman Dodgers. In 1952, he hit .239/~.370/.274 in 69 games. He fielded .984 in 67 contests at catcher, the best mark in the Georgia State League, one point ahead of Ken Boyer (who played 30 games there).
