Biographical Information[edit]
Harry Schafer played nine seasons of professional baseball including eight as a major leaguer. In 1871, he led the National Association in outs made, third base putouts, third base assists, and third base errors committed.
In addition to his playing record, he worked one National Association game as an umpire in 1875.
