Biographical Information[edit]
Harry Psutka was a minor league catcher for four seasons, all in the Detroit Tigers chain. He debuted in 1949, hitting .319 and slugging .473 for the Jamestown Falcons. In 1950, he was with the Durham Bulls (13 for 56, 2 3B, 6 BB) and Flint Arrows (.224/.302/.254 in 48 G). The next year, he hit .243 and slugged .322 for the Williamsport Tigers. He ended his career in 1952, making appearances for both Williamsport (10 for 68, 11 BB) and the Davenport Tigers (.206/.365/.250 in 50 G). In 320 minor league games, he hit .252.
He played professional hockey for the Pittsburgh Hornets of the American Hockey League in 1948 and 1949.
His middle name was once listed as "Jerome."
