Biographical Information[edit]
Harry Hartsell played football and baseball in college. He led the 1917 Virginia League with a .378 batting average. He later coached baseball at North Carolina State University (1917-1918, 1921-1923), going 52-37-4. He coached future major leaguers George Murray, Buck Redfern, Dutch Holland and Joe DeBerry. He also coached basketball and football at NC State.
