Biographical Information

Hank Workman played in the majors in 1950.

Workman was elected to the University of Southern California Athletic Hall of Fame. He was captain of the USC 1948 baseball team that won the College World Series, playing also on USC conference winners in 1946 and 1947. His father had also lettered in baseball at USC in 1912.

He played in Cuba during the winter of 1952-53.

Workman played six years in the minors and then became a lawyer. As of 2009, he still worked in the role "of counsel" to the law firm Sullivan, Workman and Dee, whose web site said he headed the firm's trusts, wills, estates and probate practice, was one of the firm's appellate lawyers, and also handled eminent domain and land use trials. His law degree came from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles (part of Loyola Marymount University), he served in the military, and prior to entering private practice worked as a lawyer for the California Attorney General's office.
