Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Gus Sandberg played for the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1919 to 1922, before spending the next two years as a Cincinnati Reds backup. He then returned to the minors and played for the Los Angeles Angels from 1925 to 1929.
He appeared in the movie Fast Company in 1929.
In 1930, Sandberg was killed in an accident at his home. He suffered fatal burns after his car's gas tank blew up while he was trying to siphon gasoline.
