Gus Panagotacos played ball at Berkeley in college. He joined the Greek national team when it formed for the 2002 European Championship B-Pool. He did amazingly well in that event (.550/.625/1.050), going 11 for 20 with four walks, 21 total bases, eight steals, 11 RBI and 16 runs to help Greece move up to the 2003 European Championship. He was 4 for 7 with three runs in the 2003 Euros, in which Greece won a Silver Medal and a spot in the 2004 Olympics. Panagotacos traveled with the Greek team to Athens but was not on the Greek roster for the Olympics.

After graduating from the University of San Francisco law school, he played in the 2005 European Championship. He joined the Gordon & Rees law firm. He was Greece's center fielder in the 2008 European Championship Qualifiers and went 7 for 11 with three walks and two runs as they took the title. He led the event in OBP.

Panagotacos is playing in the 2010 European Championship.
