Gus Gandarillas appeared in 16 games for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2001.

Gus was born in Coral Gables, FL in 1971. Another major leaguer, Keith Johns, was born on the same day in the same state.

He was at the University of Miami in 1992, at the same time as Dave Berg and Danny Graves. Drafted in the third round in 1992, he played 12 years in the minors. Gus was primarily a reliever in the minors with nearly 100 saves. He spent parts of five seasons with Salt Lake. In 2003 he pitched in Mexico.

In 2007 he was coaching youth baseball in the Miami, FL area.
