Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Gus Epler played in the minor leagues from 1906 to 1912. Though records indicate he was usually a low-average hitter, he managed a .310 mark with 160 hits, 25 doubles and 11 triples for the Lancaster Lanks in 1911. That year, he managed the club for part of the season, replacing Charles Riehl and being replaced by Al Weddige.
