Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Griff Erickson began his professional career at 19 years old.

He was taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 15th round of the 2006 amateur draft and was signed by scout Gerric Waller.

In 2009, he was a Pioneer League Post-Season All-Star after hitting .305/.378/.482 in 55 games for the Ogden Raptors. In 2011, he was a California League Mid-Season All-Star, hitting .293/.379/.486 with 13 home runs and 66 RBI in 104 games between the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and Chattanooga Lookouts that year. He reached Triple-A for the first time in 2014 with the Albuquerque Isotopes and hit .297/.384/.510 in 60 games. He signed with the San Diego Padres following that season and began 2015 with the Double-A San Antonio Missions.
