Grgur Marušić
- Throws Right
Grgur Marušić has played frequently for the Croatian national team. In the 1999 European Championship, the country's first European Championship appearance, Grgur was a major factor. He allowed 2 runs in 8 2/3 innings in his start to beat the heavily-favored Russian national team; it was Croatia's first win ever in a European Championship (and their lone win in '99).
In the 2001 European Championship, the right-hander had a 1-0, 3.38 record to lead the team's starters. He topped the German national team. In the 2003 European Championship, the veteran had a 0-1, 1.35 record; his ERA was better than fellow starters Tetsuhiro Monna and Jimmy Summers, two naturalized foreigners.
Marušić is with Croatia for the 2009 European Championship.
