Biographical Information[edit]

Greg Jones was drafted by the California Angels in the 18th round of the 1995 amateur draft out of high school and again by the Angels in the 42nd round of the 1996 amateur draft after a season at Pasco-Hernando Community College.

Greg pitched parts of four seasons for the Angels, debuting in 2003. In 38 games in the majors, he never had a decision (win, loss or save) with an ERA of 5.48 and 40 strikeouts in 47 2/3 innings. Before and after his big league career Greg had a long minor league career, at one point in 2007 setting the record for the most appearances by a relief pitcher for the Salt Lake Bees.
