Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Greg Holt played in the Washington Nationals minor league system from 2011 to 2013 and joined the independent ranks in 2014.

He was drafted by the Nationals in the 8th round of the 2011 amateur draft and signed for a bonus of $34,000. He began his career as a reliever, posting ERAs of 3.86 and 4.12 in his first two seasons, respectively. In 2013, he was 9-0 with a 3.71 ERA in 42 games for the Potomac Nationals. Despite his impressive record, the Washington Nationals released him following the campaign.

He signed on with the Sioux City Explorers of the independent American Association for 2014, where he converted to starting pitching.
