Team History[edit]

The Grand Prairie AirHogs are the first professional team ever to play in Grand Prairie, TX. They joined the independent American Association in 2008. Their first manager is former Texas Rangers outfielder Pete Incaviglia.

After the 2015 season, the team merged with the Amarillo Thunderheads to form the Texas AirHogs in order to give the league an even number of teams for the 2016 season.
