Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Grae Kessinger is the grandson of long-time major league shortstop Don Kessinger and the nephew of Keith Kessinger. His father, Kevin Kessinger, played in the minor leagues.

He was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 2nd round of the 2019 amateur draft out of the University of Mississippi, where his grandfather had once been the head coach and where both his father and uncle had played. He made his big league debut with the Astros during the 2023 season.
