Gold Coast Clippers
The Gold Coast Clippers were one of the first teams in the Australian Baseball League, going 16-21 in the league's first season, 1989-1990. Managed by Adrian Meagher, they had a 3.47 team ERA but hit just .222. Their lone All-Star was RP Bob Nilsson (3-4, 2 Sv, 1.11), who also hit .315/.351/.575 while playing first base. Going on to the brightest career would be Bob's kid brother, Dave Nilsson (.277/.386/.429). They were renamed the Daikyo Dolphins the next season.
