Biographical Information[edit]
Gerry Schoen had one game in the big leagues, for the Washington Senators in 1968. Born in New Orleans, LA, he had attended Loyola University New Orleans in 1965-1966 and is the only major league pitcher to come from that university.
After the 1968 season, the Seattle Pilots picked him in the expansion draft, and later he was traded to the Baltimore Orioles.
Schoen and Joe Coleman were both 21 in 1968, the youngest pitchers on the Senators staff.
Schoen pitched for both the Dallas-Fort Worth Spurs and Rochester Red Wings in 1969. He was with Rochester again in 1970.
