Biographical Information[edit]
Gerónimo Gil hit .333/.394/.600 for Mexico in the qualifiers in the 2008 Olympics; they failed to advance to the Summer Games. In the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games, Gil hit .346/.333/.423 for the Bronze Medal winners. He was 1 for 11 with two walks as Mexico's catcher in the 2007 Pan-American Games but they won a Bronze. Gil backed up Miguel Ojeda in the 2008 Final Olympic Qualification Tournament, going 3 for 7 with 3 RBI
