Biographical Information[edit]
George Trenwith was the regular third baseman for the 1875 Philadelphia Centennials for most of their brief life. He also died in Philadelphia, and one source claims he was born in 1851 in Philadelphia (although most sources say his birthplace is unknown).
He was also, in the same year, the second-most-used third baseman on the 1875 New Haven Elm Citys, hitting .240 on a team that hit .219.
