Biographical Information[edit]
George Soulis has played for the Greek national team.
A native of Canada, he moved to Greece and played for the Panathinaikos Baseball Club. He played for Greece in the 2014 European Championship, getting into two games. In a 15-3 opening loss to Spain, he replaced Jason Zachos at DH in the 6th. He struck out against Antonio Noguera and singled off Borja Jones. In his other game, he took over in right for Konstantinos Davlos late in a 11-0 loss to the Dutch national team and whiffed against Mike Bolsenbroek his lone time up.
In the 2016 European Championship, he started in left against Belgium and hit 3rd. He had one putout and went 0 for 3, striking out against Yannick Gontier and Gregg Mareels and retired on an infield fly by Kyran Weemaels. In his other game, he started in right against Great Britain but did not remain in long, retired by Daniel Cooper in his lone at-bat.
