Biographical Information

George Noftsker played for the Altoona Mountain City of the Union Association in 1884. He was from Shippensburg, PA and outside of baseball had a career making wagons and carriages. See Major League Baseball Players of 1884.

The Altoona Tribune of February 18, 1884 stated that Noftsker was the tenth man signed for the new major league club. His name was spelled Nofsker by the paper.

He served as borough treasurer in 1911 in his home town. [1]
