George Malauulu was an outfielder for the American Samoa national team in the 1999 Oceania Championship. He hit .350 to tie Keith Hattig and Scott Talanoa for second, .035 behind Jim Reyes. He had been an ambidextrous quarterback for Arizona while in college, also playing baseball there.
