Biographical Information[edit]
George Keogan coached baseball at Valparaiso University (13-9-1 in 1920-1921) and the University of Notre Dame (40-33 from 1924-1926 and 28-24-2 from 1930-1933). He coached Billy Sullivan Jr., Wally Gilbert, Freddy Spurgeon and Ed Walsh Jr. among others. He was most noted as a basketball coach, though, going 414-127-3, primarily at Notre Dame, and is in both the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame and College Basketball Hall of Fame.
