Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher George Heller played minor league baseball for over a decade in the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Giants organizations. With the Vandergrift Pioneers in 1948, he led the Middle Atlantic League with 20 wins and 161 strikeouts after which he was selected by the Jacksonville Tars in the Class A portion of the 1948 Rule V Draft.
