Biographical Information

Pitcher George Cappuzzello attended Youngstown State and later completed his studies at Florida State. He made his big league debut with the Detroit Tigers in 1981 and played his final game in the majors the following year with the Houston Astros. In 35 games, split almost evenly between the clubs, George had a 1-2, 3.23 record with a save. He played 11 years in the minors, mostly in the Detroit organization.
