Biographical information[edit]
Red Andreas was a minor league baseball second baseman and manager. His playing career lasted from 1904 to 1914. He played for the Dallas Giants (1904-1905), Des Moines Champs (1906-1907), Milwaukee Brewers (1907), Sioux City Packers (1908-1912) and Des Moines Boosters (1913-1914). In 1,477 games, he hit .262 with 1,362 hits.
He managed the Packers for part of the 1912 season before being replaced by Ducky Holmes and for part of the 1920 season before being replaced by Frank Metz. He replaced Metz in 1921.
He later served as president of Sioux City.
