Biographical Information[edit]
Geoff Jimenez was an outfielder for Florida Atlantic University and Nova Southeastern University while earning a bachelor's degree in sports and exercise science. In 2018 he completed a master's degree in sport and fitness administration from Missouri State University.
Jimenez started coaching soon after his playing career ended. He joined his old high school, Charles W. Flanagan High School, as an assistant coach for the 2015 season. From there he moved to the college ranks as an assistant coach with the Georgia Southwestern State University Hurricanes in 2016. During the summer of 2016 he served as an assistant coach with the DuPage Drones of the Prospect League. Jimenez then returned to college for his master's degree and worked as a graduate manager with the Missouri State University Bears in 2017-2018. He gained further coaching experience as the head coach for the Villains of the Show Me Summer Collegiate League and led his team to the league championship. Jimenez made one more collegiate stop as an assistant coach for the Maryville University of Saint Louis Saints in 2019.
In 2020, the Philadelphia Phillies hired Jimenez to coach the Lakewood BlueClaws before COVID-19 caused the minor league season to be cancelled. Moving to the Seattle Mariners' organization he was a coach for the Modesto Nuts in 2021 and Arkansas Travelers in 2022.
