Biographical Information

After serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II, pitcher Gene Manzer signed with the Detroit Tigers organization. He went 16-9 for the Muskogee Reds in 1946. He was with the Great Falls Electrics in 1948 (5-4, 3.77) and 1949 (3-6, 6.85) before an arm injury forced his retirement.
