Gato Aranda
Gato Aranda was a catcher for Guanajuato. He played for the first Mexican national team ever assembled, in the 1926 Central American Games. In their opener, he hit 6th and started at catcher, going 1 for 3 in a loss to Cuba's Bernardo Rodríguez. He moved to 3B later in the game and finished the day with 5 putouts and an assist. After sitting out game 2, he replaced Jesús García in RF in game 3, going 0 for 1. Mexico won the Silver Medal, but only Cuba and Mexico fielded teams that year in baseball.
