Biographical Information[edit]

Relief pitcher Gary Fischer played in the minor leagues from 1964 to 1968. Perhaps his best campaign was 1967, when he went 6-2 with a 2.83 ERA in 35 games (one start, which he completed) for the San Jose Bees. He averaged one strikeout per inning. He was 17-19 with a 4.34 ERA in 137 games (29 starts) overall.

He was taken by the Los Angeles Angels from the Los Angeles Dodgers in the "$8,000 First-Year" round of the 1964 Rule V Draft.

His brother, Bill Fischer, played in the major leagues. Another brother, Thomas Fischer, played in the minor leagues.
