Biographical Information[edit]

Gary Cooper played in 21 games with the Atlanta Braves in 1980 as a pinch-runner and defensive replacement. He stole two bases and scored three runs while going 0-for-2 at the plate.

Gary had seven seasons in the minors, hitting .234 and stealing 211 bases. Three of his seasons were with the Savannah Braves - Cooper had been born in Savannah, GA.

He is not to be confused with a later Gary Cooper, who played in the National League in 1991 but was never in the Braves organization. The second Gary Cooper was born near where the first Gary Cooper went to high school.
