Biographical Information[edit]
Gary Beare pitched for the Milwaukee Brewers in 1976 and 1977. He started about half of his appearances, totaling 99 2/3 innings. He was three years older than teammate Robin Yount. Beare also had seven seasons in the minors, most notably going 12-1 for Oklahoma City in 1979, primarily as a starter. In 1981, he played in Mexico. Gary came out of California State University Long Beach; his time there overlapped with that of Jim Smith.
