Biographical Information[edit]
Garth Neville pitched for Team Canada.
He was 1-1 for the 1971 Yorkton Cardinals and went 5-2 for the 1972 Binscarth Orioles, tying for second in wins in the Manitoba Senior League West. He was with Canada for the 1972 Amateur World Series, beating Panama's José Berenguer and Italy. He was 4-3 for Binscarth in '73. In the 1973 Intercontinental Cup, he beat Taiwan for Canada's first win in an Intercontinental Cup.
Neville was with Canada for the 1975 Pan American Games. He was 1-2 for the '76 Orioles. His 5-1 record in 1977 put him 5th in the Manitoba Senior League in victories. He also was with Canada for the 1977 Intercontinental Cup. He was 2-0 for Binscarth in 1978. In 1979, the veteran was 7-1 for the Teulon Cardinals.
In 2006, he was inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame.
