Biographical Information[edit]

Garry Benson pitched in the minors.

He was 0-1 with a 4.95 ERA for the 1966 Treasure Valley Cubs. In 1967, he was with the Caldwell Cubs (1-0, 0 R in 2 IP) and Duluth-Superior Dukes (8.18 ERA in 7 G). The right-hander was 6-3 with a 2.76 ERA for the Medford Giants and easily led the Northwest League with 39 appearances (ten more than the runner-up). He also tied for 4th with 6 wins. After not pitching in 1969, he was 0-1 with a save and a 5.57 ERA for the 1970 Bend Rainbows to wrap up his career. He had gone 7-5 with a save and a 4.28 ERA in 72 outings in the minors.

He later worked in sales and was a dedicated golfer.
