Gabriel Luckert (Gabe) pitched for the 1992 AZL Rockies/Cubs (0-4, 5.91 in 13 G), 1994 AZL Giants (1-2, 2.38) and 1998 Bakersfield Blaze (3 R in 1 2/3 IP).
Luckert began his pitching coaching career in the San Francisco Giants' chain with the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in 1999. He later was pitching coach for the 2001 DSL Braves and 2003 GCL Braves. According to some sources, he managed the DSL Braves in 2005-2006 though another source lists Angel Salazar as the manager in 2006. He was pitching coach for the DSL Braves in 2007, GCL Braves in 2008-2010, Danville Braves in 2011-2013, Rome Braves in 2014-2015, and Danville again in 2016. In 2011, under his direction, the Danville Braves’ pitching staff team ERA of 3.15 and 623 strikeouts ranked first among Appalachian League teams.
Luckert moved to the New York Yankees' chain with the GCL Yankees West in 2017-2018 and Charleston RiverDogs in 2019. Luckert then moved to the Milwaukee Brewers' chain as pitching coach for the ACL Brewers Blue in 2021. He joined the Detroit Tigers organization as pitching coach of the FCL Tigers in 2022-2023.
After the 2015 season Luckert also served as the pitching coach for the Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League. During the 2022/2023 winter season, he was the pitching coach for the Federales de Chiriqui in the Liga Profesional de Béisbol de Panamá.
