The GCL Astros Blue was one of two teams the Houston Astros fielded in the Gulf Coast League for 2 years.
In 1980, GCL Astros Blue was 38-24, while GCL Astros Orange was 34-28. The team was managed by Eric Swanson and finished 2nd in the 10 team league.
