Güines, Mayabeque

From BR Bullpen

Güines is located in western Cuba, in La Habana Province, 25 miles south of the capital Havana. From approximately the 1920s to the 1950s, it was the site of a large ballpark, Estadio Tropical Cerveza, which saw some of the best players in Cuba and in the Negro Leagues appear, although it has since fallen into disrepair. Urbano González, Julio Moreno and Armando Vázquez were born here.
