Biographical Information[edit]
Fumihiro Yoshimoto has been an umpire in Japan.
Yoshimoto was signed by the Taiyo Whales in 1987, but he was unable to reach the big club and announced his retirement in 1994. He then became an umpire in 1995. He worked the 2006 NPB All-Star Games (home plate umpire in Game 1), 2012 Nippon Series, 2014 NPB All-Star Games, 2017 Asian Championship, 2019 Nippon Series, 2019 Premier 12, 2021 NPB All-Star Games (home plate umpire in Game 1), 2021 Nippon Series and 2022 NPB All-Star Games (home plate umpire in Game 1). He also worked at all Pacific League Climax Series from 2009 to 2022 expect 2012.
